Dr. Alison FishmanDr. Alison Fishman works to preserve and perfect natural teeth by harnessing the latest and greatest technologies to support the personal goals of each individual. Whether straight forward or complex, Dr. Fishman strives to help her patients feel at ease and in control in the dental chair. From fillings to onlays to crowns and implants, Dr. Fishman will work with you to determine the best treatment for you. 

As a specialist in Prosthodontics, she completed seven years of specialized training to manage and treat the world’s most complicated oral healthcare cases. She is an active member of the American College of Prosthodontics, and a founding member of the Dental Risk Advisory, a non-profit dedicated to educating dentists and patients on the individualized risks and benefits associated with dental implants. She is active in research and lecturing on dental implant complications.

Dr. Fishman fell in love with the Bay Area during her 3-year Prosthodontic residency at UCSF, where she was named Chief Resident. She attended dental school at the University of Pennsylvania and earned honors in Clinical Dentistry training under the legends of periodontal-prosthodontics. At Princeton University, she majored in Art History and was the All-American captain of the varsity rowing team. Go Tigers! She won a gold medal with Team USA at the Under-23 Rowing World Championships, then pursued her dream of becoming a dentist while her boatmates went on to compete at the Olympics.

Outside of dentistry Dr. Fishman enjoys running in Golden Gate park and has recently picked up cycling. She maintains her ever growing collection of exotic orchids she calls her “tiny jungle” and is a member of the San Francisco Orchid Society.
